The Plasmatics were more than just music, they fought for free speech and wanted to shock the f*** out of people. Wendy O. Williams was the epitome of revolution, a badass who refused to allow society to pigeonhole her into what they felt was acceptable behaviour for a lady. Despite her success, Williams suffered from major depression, and on April 6, 1998, committed suicide by shooting herself in the woods on her family estate.

Wendy you were a real life punk and metal wonder woman! You stood up for your rights and against all authorities. You truly are a legend and a musical treasure!
